Welcome to our special AES issue of Avatar Studio's electronic
newsletter, AVATAR TRACKSHEETS. This year, the AES Conference is once

recently. We suggest that you take a day or two to visit upstate and
see the fall foliage.

3. CREATIVE COMMUNITY NEWS
=> Roy Hendrickson Installs New Yamaha DM2000 in Studio R
Roy Hendrickson has a new Yamaha DM 2000 96-input console in his Studio
R on the 4th floor. The new Yamaha console is interfaced with a fully
loaded Pro Tools HD3 rig complete with 48 I/O. Hendrickson frequently
utilizes the Pro Tools layer and locator on the DM 2000, allowing him
to mix much faster and without having to look at the computer screen at
all during mixing. This allows him to stay and mix in the sweet spot
all day. The P2 interface is used to control the collection of analog
machines located in Studio R. Now fully capable of 96K digital
surround mixing, Studio R has a full complement of multitrack and
2-track analog recorders including Ampex and Studer machines. Other
equipment includes an Urei LA3A, Pultec equalizers, Neve 1073 channel
modules, Eventide SP2016, and an Ampex ATR-102. The room is also tied
into analog reverb units, EMT 140ST, located in the basement. Roy, and
his 23 years of experience, is available for your engineering / mixing
needs. For more details, contact
mailto:Tino@AvatarStudios.net?subject=StudioR.
=> Jeff Bova's Work Airs on MTV
MTV's "Wuthering Heights" was broadcast on Sept. 14th. All Tracks were
programmed, arranged and recorded by Jeff Bova in Bovaland, with the
